WWE has a lot of things going, and CM Punk is the new champion. That came with an interesting storyline development.
The November 3 episode of WWE RAW went down at the Rio Rancho Events Center in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. This was a big night with fallout after Saturday Nights Main Event, where CM Punk was crowned World Heavyweight Champion.
CM Punk won the World Heavyweight Championship as he beat Jey Uso in Salt Lake City on Saturday Night. He was on hand for this weeks show, and he was on fire as well.
This weeks WWE RAW opened up with CM Punk declaring that it is a great night to be champion in the state of New Mexico. Fans chanted you deserve it, as expected, so Punk let them, but then he addressed the difference between deserve and earn. He thanked AJ Lee first-off for making this moment happen. Then he thanked the fans.
Punk thanked Jey Uso next, and said yeet before he said he would like to be friends, but if thats not the case then hes not crying about it. He plans on holding onto the title, especially after his very brief title run at SummerSlam. After that, he swung the title around over his head like Rollins did in tribute to him.
After that, Punk addressed the people waiting in line to face him. He gave love to AJ Styles, JD McDonagh, Finn Balor, Sheamus, and more. He also extended the offer to John Cena if he wants to become a 18-time World Champion. Anyone who deserves it can get in line, because the champ is here, as Punk said.
Suddenly, Logan Paul made his way out to a chorus of boos. Then Punk said that he spoke too soon, and he didnt want to face Punk. Anyone but you, he explained as The Maverick made his way down to the ring. Punk told Paul to go to SmackDown, because blue is your color, and that he should go for Dragunovs U.S. Open Challenge, because thats more his lane. Logan Paul didnt appreciate that sentiment.
Paul Heyman came out next, and he immediately got their attention. He had Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker with him, and he suggested that Logan Paul get out of the running for the title. Bron Breakker said that hes not waiting anymore, because hes coming for what he believes belongs to him.
CM Punk then told Logan Paul that its time for a fight. So, he can either fight with him, or get out of the ring. So, Logan Paul left the situation as a big time heel, however, he was taken out by the Brons before they got in the ring to attack Punk.
Logan Paul got back in the ring after that, but he took a beating. Then CM Punk jumped in with a chair and ran off the heels. If this was supposed to be a babyface turn for Logan Paul, it was met with a beatdown.
We will keep a close eye on this story, because its far from finished. Only time will tell how Logan Paul factors into the title picture from this point on.
