Iga Swiatek was thrilled with every aspect of her level against Madison Keys and that led to a bit of a funny response given to an interviewer when asked to reveal the thing she was the most pleased about.
On Saturday, Swiatek delivered a near-perfect performance to annihilate Keys 6-1 6-2. From start to finish, the second-ranked Pole was in charge of everything - firstly opening a 5-0 first-set lead and then also going on a four-game winning run in the second set to open a 5-1 lead. Overall, the reigning Australian Open champion never stood any chance against the Polish tennis star in Riyadh.
It was a routine opening day at the office for Swiatek, who needed just an hour and two minutes of play to get through her first WTA Finals match.

A chuckling Swiatek: Honestly, happy about everything
"What are you happiest with about your performance?" an interviewer asked the 24-year-old Pole, to which she responded: "Honestly, about everything kind."
It was the third meeting between the Pole and Keys this year - the six-time Grand Slam champion suffered a painful Australian Open semifinal defeat but got her revenge against the American in Madrid and now the WTA Finals.

I was kind of able to do everything that I wanted to, and thats what Im most pleased about. My focus was good from the beginning to the end. For sure, it was a positive day, and I used every opportunity I had to put pressure on her that paid off," the Pole added about her win over Keys.
Now, Swiatek is for the Elena Rybakina challenge in Riyadh. The Polish tennis giant leads their head-to-head 6-5 but Rybakina has been in outstanding form lately, having won all of her last seven matches.
