Janik Sinner is the Paris Masters champion! The Italian defeated Felix Auger-Aliassime 6-4, 7-6 in an hour and 52 minutes in the title clash to lift his fifth Masters 1000 trophy, the first since October last year.

World no. 2 dominated the field despite the fatigue, winning the title without losing a set and reclaiming the ATP throne from Carlos Alcaraz with 1000 ATP points on his tally.

Felix fought hard in his first Masters 1000 final. He lost serve in the opening game of the match and challenged the favorite in the remaining ones. However, Sinner took the pivotal points to emerge at the top.

Jannik dominated behind the initial shot and lost ten points, facing no break points and keeping the pressure on the other side. Auger-Aliassime defended five of six break points but failed to take at least a set against an in-form opponent.

The Italian lifted his fifth ATP title of the season, moving closer to Carlos Alcaraz in the ATP Race and making the year-end no. 1 battle wide open. Sinner grabbed the only break in the first game of the duel and served well to wrap up the first part of the duel 6-4.

Felix denied five break points in two challenging games of the second set and stayed in touch until the tie break. Jannik secured one mini-break and served well for 7-4 and his first trophy in Paris.
