Jannik Sinner kept it as respectful as possible after destroying Alexander Zverev in the Paris Masters, acknowledging that his rival wasn't anywhere near his best physically and adding that it wasn't the version of the German he wanted to play against.

Last week, Sinner survived a Vienna final marathon against Zverev after outlasting the world No. 3 3-6 6-3 7-5 for the title. This Saturday, the Italian tennis star needed just an hour and two minutes of play to dismantle the German 6-0 6-1.

After being bageled in the first set, Zverev finally got on the board after holding to his serve in the opening game of the second set. That was all from the No. 3 seed, who didn't win a single game for the rest of the contest. It should be noted that throughout the match, the two-time Grand Slam finalist appeared to be hampered by his ankle, which impacted his movement but also his serving.

Sinner: Zverev was not 100 percent, he was struggling physically... I hope he gets better

When you drop the physicality like he did, you cant find full power on the serve. Obviously Im happy to be in the final. But its not how you want to arrive. Playing against Sascha is always a special occasion. Today he was not 100 percent. We saw that. He was struggling physically," Sinner said.

"He had a very tight schedule in the past months. Yesterday he won an incredible match from two match points down. Its also difficult mentally and physically. He made the final in Vienna. Semis here again. Its an incredible run for him. We all hope he gets better and fit for Turin. From my side Im very happy to be in the final."
