Matt Hardy isnt closing the door on WWEnot by a long shot. In fact, the legendary tag team star opened up about what could come next for him and Jeff Hardy following their recent run in NXT, and it sounds like the door to Raw, SmackDown, and more NXT appearances is wide open.
Speaking on The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast, the Broken One laid out his ideal vision for the future, and it includes continuing the Hardy Boyz momentum while staying flexible with both WWE and TNA. Matt explained that he sees their best role now as novelty acts rather than full-time talents.
After weeks of speculation about their contract status and next steps, Matt dropped this:
He made it very clear that any return to WWE would be short and impactfulby design.
And while nothing is officially set in stone, he added that the future is never predictable when it comes to professional wrestling:
