Enzo Amores WWE career ended in one of the most shocking and chaotic moments in wrestling history. The former Cruiserweight Champion says he had no idea his career was about to implode during rehearsals for WWEs 25th Anniversary of Monday Night RAW in January 2018 until Vince McMahon personally told him to go home.

Just hours before he was set to wrestle Goldust and close out a multi-segment storyline involving Alexa Bliss, Nia Jax, and The Dudley Boyz, a sexual assault allegation against Enzo went viral on social media. The woman behind the now-deleted tweet, under the name MissGucciWitch, accused him of rape stemming from an alleged October 2017 incident. Enzo spoke about it during an appearance on The John Rondi Show and revealed that the first he heard about it was from Vince McMahon himself.

McMahon then told him to leave the arena immediately even though Enzo was still the reigning WWE Cruiserweight Champion at the time.

The following day, Enzo got the call confirming his release. According to him, the decision wasnt directly from Vince McMahon, who reportedly wanted to wait before taking action.

Despite the shocking end to his WWE run, Enzo still found a strange sense of closure even pride in how it all unfolded.

The incident instantly derailed what could have been one of the biggest moments of his WWE career. Enzos exit remains a cautionary tale in how fast things can unravel even for someone standing at the top of their division.
