Jordynne Grace has been through her share of wars, but this weeks NXT main event left its markliterally.
The October 28 episode of WWE NXT delivered fallout from Halloween Havoc and a rare main event: the TNA Knockouts World Championship was on the line. Kelani Jordan defended her title against the powerhouse Jordynne Grace in a battle that quickly spiraled into chaos.
Grace, a three-time Knockouts World Champion and the first woman to hold the TNA Digital Media Title, brought a veteran edge into the match. She nearly had Jordan beat after a punishing jackknife powerbomb, but Trick Williams and Ricky Saints wild ringside brawl spilled into the action and changed the outcome.
With the referee distracted, Kelani Jordan reached for her championship belt. Then came the shot heard round WWE Performance Center. She drilled Grace with the title and scored the controversial win. Grace was robbed of her record-tying fourth Knockouts Title reign.
The next day, Grace went to social media to show what that belt shot really did. She tweeted a close-up photo of the left side of her face covered in scratche, and swelling, along with three shocked emojis. The visual was as real as it getsclear evidence of the damage from Jordans title strike.
This wasnt a dramatized spot or a clever camera angle. Jordynne Grace took that belt square to the jaw and lived to tweet about it. The damage tells a story that words couldnt capture.
Whether this opens the door for a rematchor a potential long-term NXT rivalryits clear Grace isnt walking away from this one quietly. And neither are her fans.
