Laurie Canter could become the first former LIV golfer to play on the PGA Tour, i.e. secure a PGA card. He is currently among the top ten DP World Tour positions leading to a PGA Tour card for next season. There are two more tournaments left for him to show his full glory, and we will see if Canter really succeeds in this.

The 35-year-old Englishman admitted in an interview with the media that he was not overly satisfied with his game and that he had been working hard on different aspects of his game.

"We play such a frustrating game and I feel like at the beginning of the year I felt like I had a lot of momentum and had it on a piece of string and [since] then it has been hard work," he said, as quoted by Golf Monthly.

"I have felt like I am paddling upstream for six to eight months. I fell out of the PGA Tour card race this week so that was on my mind.

"I wanted to go to the Play-Offs and feel like I am not playing with a gun to my head totally, I can go out and embrace the chance to go and get one of those cards."

Canter's future: What can we expect?

The English golfer has played in this league 20 times from 2022 to 2024. He played in The Players Championship this year as the first LIV player to participate in such a tournament.

He now has the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship and the DP World Tour Championship ahead of him to secure his card. The famous golfer is aware that he is on the right track and that he can really take such an important step, which will certainly delight the public.

What kind of reception he will have on the PGA is still unknown, but it seems that the tensions are now significantly lower than they were before.
