WWE just dropped a major update for Mondays episode of Rawand it involves a high-stakes showdown that could reshape the Intercontinental Championship picture.
In new footage shared by WWE, Adam Pearce ran through the lineup for the October 27 edition of Raw, but he didnt stop there. At the end of the segment, Pearce revealed that Rusev will go one-on-one with Penta in a match to determine the next challenger for Dominik Mysterios Intercontinental Championship.
This bout wasnt on the original match cardbut its now one of the most talked-about matchups heading into the live Netflix broadcast.
With Dominik currently carrying multiple titles and rumored to defend them in a triple threat soon, the winner of Rusev vs. Penta could find themselves in the middle of WWEs most chaotic title scene.
Raw is already loaded with big moments: CM Punk and Jey Uso are scheduled to face off just days before their World Heavyweight Title clash, and the womens division is taking center stage with Nikki Bella facing Roxanne Perez, plus Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss defending the tag titles against Bayley and Lyra Valkyria.
But its this last-minute addition that could steal the spotlightand it proves WWE isnt done stacking the deck. WWE Raw airs live at 8 PM ET on Netflix from the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.
