WWE dropped a cryptic new vignette showing nothing but a suited mans shoes walking and fans instantly zeroed in on one name: GUNTHER. With Saturday Nights Main Event coming up on December 13th, and the Ring General already rumored to face John Cena, many believe WWE just kicked off the build to his return.
The short clip had social media in a frenzy, with fans debating every step and sound. While a few threw out names like Chris Jericho or Andrade, most agreed the walk, the pacing, and the tone screamed GUNTHER. One fan confidently declared, The Ring General Returns for December 13th.

GUNTHER hasnt been seen since SummerSlam 2025, where he took a brutal loss to CM Punk. Since then, hes been off WWE programming entirely. But with rumors swirling that hes locked in as John Cenas final opponent, the timing of this teaser couldnt be more suspicious.
Fans also joked about other possibilities, like Andrade or even Jericho returning, but none seemed to fit as well as GUNTHERespecially given the looming Cena clash.
Whether the vignette was meant to tease his return or not, one things clear: fans are ready to welcome the Ring General back, and WWE knows exactly how to keep everyone guessing.
