Otis is officially back on WWE television after months on the sidelinesand fans didnt see it coming this way.
On the October 20th episode of WWE RAW, Otis returned alongside Akira Tozawa as they accompanied Maxxine Dupri into the building. Dupri was preparing for her match against Becky Lynch for the WWE Womens Intercontinental Championship, but it was Otis first RAW appearance since early May that grabbed attention.
Otis had been out of action since May 5, when he was written off after a match with Rusev. In the months that followed, he quietly underwent arthroscopic elbow surgery, which kept him off the main roster for over five months.
Fans first got a glimpse of Otis back in action when he made a surprise debut for AAA at TripleMana XXXIII on August 16 in Mexico City. Entering ninth in the Copa Bardahl Cibernetico, Otis made his presence felt in the battle royalbut ended up getting pinned by Microman in one of the wildest upsets of the night. His appearance was unexpected and marked his first match since the surgery.
Otis has also worked select matches on WWE Main Event, slowly ramping up before his official return to RAW.
Now that hes back in the mix, all eyes are on WWE to see how Otis is reintroduced into storylines. Whether he reunites with Alpha Academy or takes a new direction alongside Dupri and Tozawa, its clear the powerhouse is ready to go again.
