The whispers about Britt Baker jumping ship to WWE have been getting louder, especially with her absence from AEW television. But now we finally know where things actually standand if youre expecting her to show up in a WWE ring anytime soon, dont hold your breath.
During the Debunkathon segment of Fightful Selects Backstage Report, Sean Ross Sapp directly addressed the swirling rumors that WWE and Britt Baker have been talking behind the scenes. He made it absolutely clear those stories are complete fiction.
That puts a hard stop on any fantasy booking for now. According to Sapp, there have been zero discussions between WWE and Bakerat least as of now. So while its not impossible down the road, fans hoping for a surprise debut or contract jump will have to keep waiting.
This clears up speculation that caught fire after reports of Britt Baker removed AEW from her social media profile. That move had fans thinking she was distancing herself from the companyespecially after she didnt appear during AEWs stop in her hometown of Pittsburgh.
