Jannik Sinner has already arrived in Vienna and is the big favorite to win the prestigious ATP 500 in Austria, where he has already lifted the trophy in 2023 by beating Russian ace Daniil Medvedev in the final. The world number 2 played the 'Six Kings Slam' in Saudi Arabia last week and proved once again that he is the best in indoor conditions, winning the rich prize money and also receiving a precious golden racket worth over 400,000 euros.
The 24-year-old from Sesto Pusteria wants to end the season in the best possible way and his big goal is the Nitto ATP Finals in Turin, where he will be able to play in front of his home fans and try to defend the title won in 2024.
For this reason, the tournaments in Vienna and Paris will be very useful for him to have the right confidence at the Finals, waiting for him to break the silence regarding his presence at the Davis Cup Finals in Bologna.

Sinner is already in Vienna
Another goal of Jannik is undoubtedly to return to the top of the ATP rankings, although he is perfectly aware that it will be difficult to achieve this goal by the end of this year. His retirement due to cramps during the Shanghai Rolex Masters has drastically reduced his chances and the consistency shown by Carlos Alcaraz in recent months makes the latter favorite to receive the award from Andrea Gaudenzi at the end of 2025.
However if Sinner were to triumph in Vienna this week he would gain 500 points and move to 840 points from his Spanish rival. The four-time Grand Slam champion will not have to defend points in Paris, having missed this tournament in the last edition due to illness.
At the same time, top Italian analyst Simone Eterno recently confided that the former world No. 1 could skip the last Masters 1000 of the season to focus directly on the Turin Finals. He may not even be present in Bologna, after being decisive for Italy's two triumphs in Malaga (in 2023 and 2024).
