Bryan Danielson hasnt wrestled in over a year, and fans continue to wonder if The American Dragon will ever step inside the ring again. Tony Khan just gave an update that offers both hope and reflection.
Speaking with Conrad Thompson, Khan praised Danielsons contributions to AEW both in and out of the ring. He pointed to some of Danielsons most memorable matches since joining the company, including his showdown with Kenny Omega at the first Grand Slam and his classic against Will Ospreay in St. Louis. He also recalled Danielsons last match his WrestleDream battle with Jon Moxley that ended with Danielson being stretchered out.
Khan made it clear he hasnt given up hope that Danielson could return.
Danielson hasnt been fully absent from AEW. He got physical at All In: Texas, attacking members of the Death Riders, and has become a fixture on the AEW Dynamite commentary team. Still, the possibility of a return match remains one of the biggest questions in wrestling.
Even if Danielson never wrestles again, his legacy as one of the greatest technical wrestlers ever is set in stone. The only question is whether fans will get one more chance to see him lace up the boots inside an AEW ring.
