Alongside that success, Djokovic suffered a tight loss in the Miami Open final, missing a chance to add a notable title to his tally. Novak played his best tennis on his beloved stage at Majors.
The veteran reached all four semi-finals, joining Jnanik Sinner on the exclusive list. He suffered four defeats, missing an opportunity to chase a Major trophy but extending his incredible legacy.
Djokovic will try to challenge much younger players in Riyadh, where he finished third last year after falling to Jannik Sinner and beating his greatest rival, Rafael Nadal.
After that, Novak will have to make his decision about the Paris Masters ahead of that event in Athens, where he now lives with his family.
