TNA Wrestling isnt just facing a wave of expiring deals the company has been purposely shifting to shorter contracts, and now the real reason is out in the open.

According to Sean Ross Sapp during a recent Fightful Select Answers Q&A, TNA management has been strategically shifting toward shorter-term agreements over the past year, and its not by accident. Sources within the company revealed that the move is designed to offer more freedom and flexibility in a constantly changing wrestling market.

Behind the scenes, TNA is reportedly satisfied with how this strategy is working. Officials say shorter contracts give the promotion the ability to adjust quickly whether its reacting to a talent becoming unavailable, needing to change creative direction, or responding to fan interest. One source explained that this setup has allowed the company to quickly adapt to changes in talent availability, creative direction, and fan engagement. And now, that decision is about to be put to the test.

More than a dozen TNA contracts are set to expire over the next three months, and while some top names are already in negotiations, its unclear who plans to re-sign or who may be preparing to walk.

The most notable names on the list? The Hardy Boyz, Matt and Jeff, who just picked up a win over Team 3D at Bound for Glory 2025. Their current contracts are set to expire in November. TNA President Carlos Silva teased a continued partnership, stating that he looks forward to many years of positive vibes together with the iconic duo.

Also nearing the end of their deals are the current Knockouts Tag Team Champions, The IInspiration (Cassie Lee & Billie Kay). Their contracts expire shortly after Bound for Glory, and while theyre still in good standing with management, no deal has been confirmed.

The clock is ticking, and with TNA leaning into shorter-term commitments, the door remains wide open for some major roster changes before 2026 kicks off.

Do you think TNAs short-term deal strategy will keep the company flexible or will it lead to major talent losses? Let us know what you think in the comments.
