Tessa Blanchard is done keeping quiet. The former Impact Wrestling star has officially gone public with her decision to undergo breast augmentation surgeryand she made sure fans heard it straight from her.

In a video posted online, Blanchard said she wanted to shut down any speculation and take control of the conversation. I wanted to control my own narrative about it, she explained. Ive always tried to be real with the people who follow me.

While the choice to share such a personal moment wasnt easy, Blanchard admitted she felt vulnerable. Its a bit scary, she said, but being transparent was more important than playing it safe.

She also shared a painful memory from her early wrestling days, revealing that someone she looked up to once told her she wouldnt succeed without changing her body. Tessa, you are never going to make it in this business. You are never going to make it off the Indies if you dont have your breasts done, she recalled from 2014.

Now, years later, Blanchard is proud to say she proved that person wrong. The truth is, I did make it, she said. Ive won championships, Ive made history, and I did it all without changing my body for anybody else. And Im very proud of that.

But this time, the choice wasnt about proving anything. It was personal. Ive come to a place where its not about approval, its not about chasing acceptance, Blanchard said. Its about looking in the mirror and doing something that makes me feel good in my own skin.

She added that the change has already boosted her confidence. There are dresses that I would love to wear, theres bathing suits that I would love to wear, that I truly believe I will have the confidence to wear once I make this change.

The surgery took place on July 30 in Guadalajara, and Blanchard took about a month off from wrestling to recover. The healing process wasnt easy. The first four days were so difficult, she admitted. I couldnt sit up on my own. I needed help to do almost everything. But after resting at home and giving her body the break it needed, she felt ready to return. I want to get back in the gym. I want to do something Im ready to get back to work.

Now, shes back on the road, back in the gym, and feeling great about her decision. This is for me, she declared. I feel happy. I feel honestly, I dont know if its okay to say, but I feel more woman. I feel more confident in my own skin. She ended by saying shes super, super happy with the results.

Tessa Blanchard isnt hiding behind rumors or silence. Shes stepping forward with confidence, sharing her truth, and letting everyone know this decision was hersand hers alone.
