Jacopo Vecchi Fossa won the Parma Alps Open with a 202 (65, 67, 70, -14) shot, where Italian players dominated, with seven others finishing in the top ten. In the Alps Tour tournament and the third event of the season on the Italian Pro Tour, the circuit of national and international competitions organized by the Italian Golf Federation, with the collaboration of the Minister for Sport and Youth and the support of Official Advisor Infront Italy, the Italian golfer defeated Spaniards Javier Barcos and Asier Aguirre Izcue in a thrilling finale, finishing second with 203 (-13). With the title, he also secured one of the five "cards" for the 2026 HotelPlanner Tour, which will be awarded to the top performers after the upcoming Regione Lazio Alps Tour Grand Final (Golf Nazionale, October 16-18).

Vecchi Fossa, a 31-year-old from Reggio Emilia, achieved his fifth victory on the Alps Tour, his second of the season following his previous victory at the Open de la Mirabelle dOr in June. He has a particular affinity with the La Rocca course, where he won his second PGAI Championship in 2023, following his first in 2019. He also has two National Open Championships under his belt (2018, 2021). In the final round, ranking leader Barcos made an excellent start, seeking his third victory of the year, which would have anticipated his move to the higher circuit, where he would have landed immediately. He flew through the first eleven holes with five birdies and a three-shot lead over the Italian, but suddenly fell behind with two bogeys and a double bogey (71, -1), allowing Aguirre Izcue to catch him. Vecchi Fossa started with an eagle and a birdie in four holes, then on his return he made a bogey, a birdie, and another bogey (70, -2) on the final green, which was completely irrelevant because he had reached it by a two-shot margin. For his feat, he received a check for 6,200 out of a prize pool of 42,500, moving him up from third to second in the rankings, behind Barcos.
