Indi Hartwell is looking back at one of the wildest segments from her NXT run and shes calling out a bizarre behind-the-scenes edit that made it even weirder than fans realized.
While speaking with Metro UK, Hartwell opened up about the infamous 2021 bedroom pillow fight skit with Dexter Lumis. It was filmed as part of their NXT storyline romance and was originally supposed to take place in a hotel. Instead, WWE taped it inside the actual bedroom of WWE Vice President of Content and Development, Jeremy Borash.
What made it really awkward? The sounds WWE decided to throw in after the fact.
Hartwell said she laughed when she saw the final cut and while she worried about her parents seeing the segment, she accepted it as part of the job. The moaning wasnt hers, but the reaction certainly was.
Despite the strange post-production choices, Hartwell still sees that era as a highlight of her time in NXT. Her storyline with Lumis complete with the wedding, wild segments, and unique chemistry gave fans a reason to tune in every week.
Looking back now, the moaning mightve been over the top, but that just made it even more unforgettable.
