Mercedes Mon is stacking championships everywhere she goes, but not everyones thrilled about her gold rush. After Winnipeg Pro Wrestling announced Mon for their upcoming event, one fan took a shot at the AEW staraccusing her of using independent promotions without giving anything back.
The fan warned the promotion not to let Mon win their title and made a harsh claim about her motives.
Winnipeg Pro Wrestling didnt hold back in their response. They defended Mon and fired back at the claim that shes taking advantage of the indie scene.
When another fan sarcastically suggested that all the build-up would be pointless if Mon didnt stick around, the promotion clapped back againreminding everyone of the bigger picture.
Mercedes Mon is currently scheduled to face Jody Threat for the WPW Womens Championship at RUMBLE IN THE BURT 3 on October 19th. If she wins, itll mark her 11th championship during her current run, fresh off claiming the BODYSLAM Womens Title.
Critics might question her long-term involvement, but indie companies like WPW clearly see Mons presence as a huge boostnot a burden. The fans may be divided, but promotions are lining up to book her, titles and all.
