WWE is currently planning to hold the 2026 Elimination Chamber premium live event on Saturday, February 28 in Chicago, Illinois. The annual event is one of the final stops before WrestleMania and typically sets the stage for major title implications heading into the biggest show of the year.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, while the February 28 date is the current internal schedule, WWE could still shift the event by a week in either direction. The flexibility would allow WWE to strategically counter-program an AEW pay-per-view if one is booked around the same time.
WWE has leaned into Saturday night events as a standard PLE format, giving the company more breathing room away from traditional sports competition and making it easier to pivot against rival promotions. If AEW schedules a PPV close to the Elimination Chamber timeframe, WWE is reportedly open to moving the date to go head-to-head.
The Royal Rumble is already set for January 31 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and that event is locked in. Survivor Series closes out 2025 on November 29 in San Diego, and John Cenas retirement match will be featured on the December 13 edition of Saturday Nights Main Event.
With Chicagos passionate fanbase and the Road to WrestleMania heating up, the Elimination Chamber could deliver a massive moment for WWE. But whether it sticks to February 28 or shifts slightly to challenge AEW remains to be seen..
