Jacy Jayne may have suffered a serious injury during the October 9 NXT live event, leaving fans worried about the future of the current NXT Womens Champion.
The incident happened during a tag team match between Fatal Influence and Zaruca. According to fans in attendance, Jayne appeared to grab at her legspecifically her quadbefore quickly tagging out and falling to the mat. WWE officials acted fast, with the referee throwing up the X sign, a universal in-ring signal that a performer is injured and needs medical attention.

Video footage also showed Jayne limping badly as she exited the ring. She was unable to walk out on her own and was helped to the back by medical staff, indicating that the injury could be serious. Sean Ross Sapp later confirmed the injury on Twitter, stating:
