Roman Reigns is returning to action this weekend at WWE Crown Jewel: Perth, but fans holding out for a one-on-one clash with Seth Rollins will have to keep waiting. New backstage details reveal that WWE has different plans for The Tribal Chief heading into the final stretch of 2025.
According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, Reigns is currently booked for WWE Survivor Series: WarGames on November 29 in San Diego but not in a singles match. Despite speculation about a Reigns vs. Rollins faceoff, Meltzer confirmed that Reigns is instead slotted into the traditional WarGames team match.
This lines up with WWEs long-term strategy of keeping Reigns appearances rare and special. His last match was back in August at WWE Clash in Paris, where he defeated Bronson Reed. That same matchup will run it back in Perth this weekend but this time in an Australian Street Fight.
While some had hoped Survivor Series would be the perfect platform for a Reigns vs. Rollins showdown, WWE seems to be saving that blockbuster for a much bigger stage. Meltzer even floated the possibility that it could be held off until WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas.
If thats the direction, Reigns presence at Crown Jewel and WarGames may be more about elevating team-based storytelling and building up the next chapter of The Bloodlines saga. Roman Reigns path toward WrestleMania 42 is becoming clearer, but WWE fans hoping for that personal grudge match with Seth Rollins will need to stay patient.
