Stefano Mazzoli delivered a strong performance, finishing eighth with a 271 (66, 69, 66, 70, -9) in the Jakarta International Championship, an Asian Tour tournament played at the Damai Indah Golf Course (PIK Course, par 70) in Jakarta, Indonesia. Renato Paratore finished 29th with a 274 (70, 66, 70, 68, -6).

Australian Wade Ormsby won, finishing with a 268 (64, 68, 67, 69, -12), matching Zimbabwean Scott Vincent's score (69, 68, 62, 69), before edging him out with a par on the first play-off hole.

In third place with a 269 (-11) was Korea's Doyeob Mun, Thailand's Pavit Tangkamolprasert, Poom Saksansin, and Sadom Kaewkanjana, along with Scott's brother Kieran Vincent (both had a brief stint at LIV Golf). Mazzoli was joined by England's Steve Lewton and another Thai, Suteepat Prateeptienchai.

Ormsby, a 45-year-old from Adelaide, secured his fourth Asian Tour title, one of which came in a combined event with the DP World Tour, where he has been playing part of his career. He started the final round with Scott Vincent, and they both shot a 69 (-1). However, the Zimbabwean, who was one shot ahead at the 15th hole, bogeyed the 16th (three birdies, two bogeys overall), allowing him to catch up and then fall in the playoff, where he hit the water with his second shot. Ormsby (two birdies and a bogey) received a check for $360,000 on a $2,000,000 prize pool.

Mazzoli's best performance of the season was with two other top-25 finishes in seven events and only one cut. Ranked 45th in the rankings, he currently has an excellent chance of retaining his place in the 2026 season. Simultaneously competing on the HotelPlanner Tour, he is also aiming to earn a spot on the DP World Tour, which will be awarded to the top 20 in the Race to Mallorca (order of merit), where he is 19th. Filippo Celli (4th) and Renato Paratore (6th) are also aiming for this finish, and all three will be competing next week in the third-to-last tournament of the 2025 circuit, the Hainan Open (October 9-12, Hainan Island, China), where a strong performance will be required.
