Much dust has been raised over the latest edition of the Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black, where the Europeans celebrated after an exciting three days against the American team. While the public expected the Americans to win, mostly because of domestic support, it turned out that the Europeans were extremely mentally strong.
This Ryder Cup was also unique in that it was filled with numerous provocations and insults, both from fans and from some players.
The public was particularly surprised by the statement of the president of the PGA of America, Don Rea, who pointed out that American players were welcomed in the same way by European fans in Rome two years ago. His statements did not meet with positive reactions from the public.
A member of the European team, Tommy Fleetwood, considers such statements offensive. He emphasizes that at various moments they could feel the insincerity of the American fans and some important figures in the sport, but that in the end they are satisfied with the victory, and that is what is most important.

The Europeans think that the American fans have gone too far in every sense, but at the same time they emphasize that they have received a lot of messages in which the Americans expressed their apologies for the fans, who were really harsh from the first day to the last.

However, the Europeans knew that such a hostile atmosphere awaited them, which ultimately resulted in their victory.
