Despite losing the top position in the ATP rankings after the US Open, Jannik Sinner has certainly not lost faith in his potential and is aware that he is the player to beat in the latter part of the season. The Italian ace has shown an impressive level over the past two seasons and has always made the difference from September onwards, which is why he will have to defend quite a few points before the end of 2025.
The current world No.2 is playingthe Beijing ATP 500 right now and defeated Croatian veteran Marin Cilic very easily in his first match, waiting to face French ace Terence Atmane for a place in the quarterfinals. The 24-year-old from Sesto Pusteria will also participate in the Shanghai Rolex Masters (where he will defend his title), the 'Six Kings Slam' in Saudi Arabia, the Vienna ATP, the Paris-Bercy Masters 1000 and the Nitto ATP Finals in Turin in November.

Sinner will play many tournaments
Italian fans are wondering if the former world number 1 will also be present in Bologna for the Davis Cup Finals, with the team led by Filippo Volandri trying to lift this trophy for the third year in a row. It's no secret that Jannik played a decisive role in Italy's successes in Malaga and his absence would be a serious damage, but the four-time Grand Slam champion has a very busy schedule and could focus on other goals this year.
During his latest press conference in Beijing, Sinner expressed his honest opinion on the matter: "The truth that I haven't decided whether or not to play the Davis Cup, I'll make a choice later. I can't give an answer right now. I'm only focused on the next tournaments I'll be taking part in, with the aim of improving my game and refining some details. I worked mainly on my serve and I hope that this shot will help me in the last part of the season."
