Deonna Purrazzo has already conquered the wrestling world as The Virtuosa, but now shes setting her sights on something far biggerpolitics.

The AEW and ROH star recently revealed shes seriously exploring a future beyond the ring, one that could see her trading in wrestling boots for public office. In fact, she recently took a major step in that direction by completing a Senate internship during the summer of 2025.

While speaking with Jim Varsallone, Purrazzo opened up about her journey from suplexes to Senate floors:

She explained that life after WWE in 2020 gave her space to rediscover herselfand that included academic goals she never imagined for herself growing up.

That might sound ambitious, but if youve followed Purrazzos wrestling career, its not surprising. Shes always brought precision, intelligence, and purpose to everything she doesand shes treating this transition the same way. Her passion for veterans and first responders is fueling her drive to give back on a broader scale.

With other wrestlers like Jesse Ventura and Glenn Kane Jacobs having found success in public office, Purrazzos political pivot could follow a well-trodden pathjust with a whole lot more grit, grace, and Virtuosa flair.
