Masha Slamovich is facing serious heat after domestic violence accusations were made public by her ex-partner, independent wrestler AKIRA.
The situation escalated quickly this week after a friend of AKIRAs released a collection of alleged screenshots, images, and messages between AKIRA (real name Alexander Atkisson) and Slamovich (real name Anna Khozina). The material reportedly includes photos showing physical abuse and a pattern of disturbing behavior.
This development follows recent speculation about Slamovichs status with both WWE and TNA. Although early reports claimed she was pulled from WWE NXTs TNA invasion storyline, Fightful Select clarified that Slamovich was never booked for the angle in the first place. She wasnt even in the United States at the timeshe was in Spain during the tapings for the September 23 episode of NXT.
However, the fallout has hit her TNA career hard. Slamovich was removed from TNAs Victory Road pay-per-view, where she was originally set to challenge Ash By Elegance for the Knockouts Championship. TNA confirmed that the company is conducting an internal investigation into the allegations.
Sources within WWE also stated that if Slamovich had been scheduled for the crossover angle, her involvement would have been paused until the situation was resolved. Her future in TNA remains unclear, as her contract is nearing its expiration and theres no confirmation that shell re-sign.
On Wednesday evening, Slamovich issued a statement in response to the allegations. Without going into specific details, she referred to her past relationship with AKIRA as toxic and mutually destructive, acknowledging personal failures and saying she has since sought help. She admitted to being sorry, embarrassed, and ashamed of the role I played and expressed hopes that AKIRA is able to heal.
Up until the beginning of this year, I was in a toxic and mutually destructive relationship. We hurt each other deeply, and in private moments, failed to treat each other with the consideration and respect we both deserve.
Since the accusations came to light, Slamovich has been pulled from multiple independent bookings in addition to her absence from TNA programming. This controversy now puts her career trajectory in question at a pivotal moment.
