AEW fans hoping for a quick return from MJF will have to wait even longer. During the September 24, 2025 episode of AEW Dynamite, a post-match promo from the former World Champion aired, offering a raw and intense look into his current mindsetand its clear hes not ready to come back.
The segment was filmed after his brutal loss to Mark Briscoe at AEW All Out, a match that left MJF physically and emotionally wrecked. While his wife Alicia Atout previously joked that their honeymoon was delayed because he might be dead, MJF gave a far more serious update in his own words.
Its been a wild stretch for MJFfilming Violent Night 2 for Universal Pictures, dropping the CMLL World Heavyweight Title in Mexico to Mistico, and then falling short against Briscoe at All Out. Despite the setbacks, MJF is clearly plotting his return with intent.
The Salt of the Earth might be off AEW TV for now, but this promo makes one thing certain: whenever he returns, he plans to be unstoppable.
