After months away due to a serious shoulder injury, Cassidy made a surprise return during the September 24, 2025 episode of AEW Dynamite. The moment came during the six-man tag match where Kazuchika Okada, Konosuke Takeshita, and Hechicero faced off against Mark Briscoe, Hologram, and a mystery partner. That third man? None other than Freshly Squeezed himself.
The crowd erupted the moment Cassidys music hit. Fans had been waiting since March, when he was sidelined with a torn labrum that required surgery and forced him off AEW television for over five months. While the match was still in progress, Cassidys entrance alone electrified the arena.
Reports from both BodySlam.net and Fightful Select had suggested Cassidy was cleared to return, and now its official. A source told Fightful that hell be back sooner than laterand they werent lying.
