Booker T landed in hot water with fans after a clip from last weeks WWE NXT went viral.
During a segment featuring Rhea Ripley, Tiffany Stratton, and Stephanie Vaquer, fans claimed they heard the two-time WWE Hall of Famer say something obscene on commentary. The phrase I gotta pop my d**k, man began circulating online, sparking controversy. But Booker T says thats not what came out of his mouthand hes not staying quiet about it.
On a new episode of his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker addressed the backlash directly. He explained that the comment was misheard and blown out of proportion. According to Booker, the phrase in question had nothing to do with what fans thought they heard.
Booker said he was simply reacting to the moment on-screen and never meant anything inappropriate. Still, the outrage online led him to be more cautious on commentary just days later. When working SmackDown on guest commentary, he admitted he held back from saying anything that could be twisted again.
He didnt stop there. Booker voiced his frustration with the way people seem eager to take him down over nothing, questioning why anyone would want to cancel him at all.
Booker also clarified that his SmackDown appearance was a one-off, but hes open to future returns if WWE wants him back. For now, hes not letting social media spin get in the way of his work.
This moment is a prime example of how easily online commentary can twist a situationespecially when its based on poor audio and fan assumptions. Booker T made his position clear: hes focused on his work, not the noise.
