AEW President Tony Khan is obviously incredibly busy running the company, but theres only so much that can be done when its just him at the helm. Unsurprisingly, Khan has now been called out for failing to delegate his AEW responsibilities.
While speaking to Gameshub, Jake Roberts talked about the difference between Vince McMahon and Tony Khan as bosses. He said Tony Khan treats wrestlers well but tries to do too much himself.
Jake explained that Vince McMahon was good at sharing work. Vince would come up with ideas or use others ideas and let the team help build them. Tony on the other hand, likes to handle everything himself, which can make things get missed.
With AEW running so many shows every week, Jake thinks its too much for one person to manage all the time. He added that Tony might either listen to his advice or fine him for saying it.
This comes after it was claimed that many people in AEW have no respect for Tony Khan and some even claimed they dont care about the ideas as long as they get their paycheck.
To add to this, Tony Khan holds late-night meetings and never gives straight answers and that makes everything worse. As AEW keeps growing, its unclear whether Tony Khan will start sharing creative work the way Vince McMahon did or keep handling everything himself, which could lead to burnout and missed chances in the end.
