Tony Khan might be singing Chris Jerichos praises on the radiobut according to Jake Hager, the AEW boss wasnt even answering Jerichos texts.
In a recent interview on The Torg and Elliott Show, Khan made it crystal clear that hes still holding the door open for Jerichos AEW return.
Khan called Jericho a huge part of the history of AEW and dodged directly confirming a return, instead telling fans, Stay tuned to the show thats one of the reasons you watch the wrestling show is to see the returns.
But just as Khan painted a warm picture publicly, Jake Hager dropped a brutal backstage reality checkalleging that Jericho was ignored for weeks at a time by the same man now publicly begging for his return. Speaking on Unscripted with Sportskeeda, Hager claimed AEWs inner structure fell apart after Cody Rhodes leftand said even Jericho couldnt get a text back from Khan.
Hager said the problem wasnt just ghosting Jerichoit reflected deeper neglect from AEWs top boss.
He went further, claiming the company stopped holding production meetings and left talent clueless on live taping days.
Chris Jericho hasnt appeared on AEW programming since April and has been keeping his options open, even telling the Daily Mail he wouldnt be opposed to a WWE return. But now fans are left wonderingif Jericho really was getting ghosted behind the scenes, how genuine is Tony Khans pitch to bring him back?
