Andrades WWE exit wasnt just about stalled momentumhe was reportedly escorted out of a WWE taping last month, and now the pieces of his second departure are starting to come together.
According to Sports Illustrateds The Takedown, Andrade was told to leave a recent WWE taping and was escorted out of the building. While previous reports noted that he hadnt been backstage at SmackDown and was no longer listed on internal rosters, this new detail paints a much more direct and dramatic picture.
A high-level source told SI that the ejection from the building was connected to his most recent suspension, which hadnt been formally acknowledged by WWE. That incident reportedly had a direct impact on creative, especially plans involving a tag team pairing between Andrade and Rey Fenix, which were scrapped after the situation unfolded.
As previously reported, Andrade had at least one wellness policy violation in 2025 during his latest WWE run. WWE, now under the TKO Group banner, hasnt publicly disclosed wellness violations since merging with UFC in 2023meaning Andrades infraction was never acknowledged on the record.
The violation was not his first. In 2020, Andrade was suspended for 30 days for a confirmed wellness policy violation. That was during his first WWE run, and it was publicly announced. This time, the details were kept behind closed doors.
Andrade returned to WWE at the 2024 Royal Rumble, but after appearing at SummerSlam in a Six-Pack TLC match, his push quickly disappeared. A tag match scheduled for Clash in Paris was scrapped, and his presence backstage reportedly became scarce leading up to his departure.
There was also the matter of Andrade being left out of WWEs AAA crossover plans, despite being seen as a perfect fit for the project. WWE had reportedly wanted him involved, but he never participatedanother missed opportunity during a run full of stalled starts.
Before his WWE return, Andrade also faced disciplinary issues during his time in AEW, including a backstage altercation with Sammy Guevara that led to a suspension in 2022.
As of now, WWE has not commented publicly on Andrades release, his suspension, or the incident that led to him being removed from the building.
