Real American Beer mightve looked like another flashy celebrity product, but according to Bubba the Love Sponge, its origins were anything but clean.
During a recent interview with Danny Jones, Bubba claimed Hulk Hogan was originally lined up for a massive beer deal with Anheuser-Buschuntil two top execs allegedly poached him behind the scenes.
Bubba didnt name the execs involved or the company that ultimately launched Real American Beer, but he made it clearthis wasnt just smart branding. It was corporate sabotage at the highest level. After Hogan passed away, interest in the beer reportedly spiked, but Bubba wasnt sure what happened next.
Surprisingly, Bubba admitted he never even tasted the beer himselfbut fans had already formed opinions.
Despite his declining health, Hogan was still grinding hard to promote the product up until his final months. According to Bubba, the Hall of Famer refused to slow downeven when he should have.
If Bubbas account is accurate, Real American Beer didnt just carry Hogans nameit was the product of a cutthroat boardroom war, complete with executive betrayals and strategic exits from one of the biggest companies in the alcohol industry.
Was Hogans beer deal a brilliant last moveor was he used as a pawn in a corporate game? Sound off in the comments and let us know what you believe really happened.
