Andrades sudden WWE exit continues to develop, and now it appears that even people within the company were left surprised.
Fightful Select reported that several talent they spoke to had no idea Andrade was leaving or that he had already gone from WWE, showing just how quietly the situation was handled.
This follows earlier reports that Andrade still had over 18 months left on his contract when he re-signed, meaning his departure was not tied to his deal expiring. Sources described the exit as an isolated situation and not part of any larger round of roster cuts.
Speculation about Andrade being injured also turned out to be inaccurate, as he was never listed on WWEs internal injury report. His absence from SmackDown and other backstage events only fueled questions, but those close to the situation indicated his departure had been in the works for weeks.
Creative plans were directly impacted by his exit. After his SummerSlam match which turned out to be his final WWE appearance Andrade had been penciled in to team with Fenix against the Wyatt Sicks at Clash in Paris. Once it became clear he was leaving, those plans were dropped and adjustments had to be made.
With Andrade now officially gone, the big question is where he goes next. His history in AEW, success in CMLL, and proven star power make him a name to watch in the coming months.
