Alcaraz deserved a couple of days off the court following his latest success in New York. The 22-year-old dominated the field in New York en route to his second US Open crown, his sixth Major at such a young age.
The El Palmar native dropped one set in seven encounters at Flushing Meadows, providing his A-game and leaving everyone far behind. Carlos dropped serve three times in 22 sets and lost only one set to Jannik Sinner in the final.

The Spaniard bested his great rival 6-2, 3-6, 6-1, 6-4 in two hours and 42 minutes, outplaying hm in every segment and lifting a trophy in style.The younger player fired ten aces and played well behind the first and second serve.
He suffered one break from the only chance offered to the defending champion and kept the pressure on the other side. Sinner could not follow that pace, struggling to impose his shots and getting broken five times from 11 chances presented to his greatest rival.
Alcaraz will enjoy a couple of days off the court before heading to San Francisco for the Laver Cup, leading Team Europe alongside Alexander Zverev.
