Carmelo Anthony has asked the 40-year-old LeBron James to join him in the land of retired NBA players.

Anthony suggested that James should consider retirement after the next NBA season, jokingly suggesting his 23 year career more than covers it.

Hes still going, its unbelievable, man,Anthonysaid during a recent appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Thats my brother. We talk about being around, being together, being tied, being connected, being talked about since we were 17, 18 years old. And for me to be entering the Hall of Fame, and for him, hopefully, to get his ass up out of there and come on over this side (smiles). Enough is enough. Give it a break.

Celtics champion Paul Pierce definitely thinks this could be Jamess last year in the NBA.

IfIma betting man, I think this will be his last season, Pierce said. You know, I thinkhesplayed 21, 22 years.Hesbeen the GOAT for so long.Hesmaintained the stats. We appreciate what he brought to the game and howhesheld the mantle since (Michael) Jordan left. Bron is one of themones. We appreciate him. But I think his time is up. But we appreciate whathesdone for the league.

So what will LeBron be doing once he does officially retire?

It wont be in basketball coaching, he has already confirmed.

No, no coaching for me, James said on Sports Scene recently. I was inspired by the game. I love the game. But I dont have coaching in my future.

Golf seems to be the latest hobby Bron has picked up over the summer. He even went out and played in the rain recently.

So once he does retire, some more days on the green could certainly be in store.
