Bubba the Love Sponge is definitely not holding back after Nick Hogan sued him in order to block the release of his upcoming Hulk Hogan documentary. However, the radio host has made it clear Nick Hogan is suing the wrong guy.
While speaking on his YouTube channel, Bubba the Love Sponge has responded to Nick Hogans lawsuit and explained that Nick Hogan is suing the wrong person, since he doesnt own or control the documentary in any way. Bubba added that Nick is using Hulk Hogans money to fund the lawsuit.
Bubba pointed to court documents that confirm the film is scheduled to premiere on Friday, September 5, at a private event with 500 invitations sent out and 350400 guests expected. Bubba found it ironic that even Ken Trickel, the man who drafted the legal filing, was invited to the screening. Bunna says that this shoes theres no attempt to hide or spin the project.
Bubba also criticized the way the lawsuit has been handled, noting that he hasnt even been properly served and instead is learning about filings through TMZ. He dismissed redactions in the legal paperwork and said the case has no grounds, since he neither produced nor owns the film.
On top of that, Bubba revealed that Nick Hogan and his lawyers also filed an emergency motion for a temporary restraining order and injunction. He questioned why his past radio show clips about Hulk Hogans health were being dragged into the case, since they had nothing to do with the documentary.
Bubba closed by insisting the film doesnt smear Hulk Hogan in any way, but instead ties back to the infamous Cox vs. Hogan lawsuit, which was settled years ago. According to him, the project doesnt place Hogan in a bad light, and the legal action being taken against him is both misguided and unnecessary.
The documentary is set to premiere in just a few days, and Bubba insists he has nothing to do with the film legally. The fight in court could get even more complicated, and its unclear if Nick Hogan will be able to stop the screening. For now, Bubba the Love Sponge is standing his ground and not backing down at all.
