Contract talks between WWE and Roman Reigns have hit a wall, with new reports suggesting the Tribal Chief has little interest in returning to a full-time schedule unless his pay demands are met.

According to Billi Bhatti of The Dirty Sheets Wrestling Informer Podcast, WWE wants Roman to step back into the role of being the guy as the company shifts into the Netflix era. That would mean 40 appearances per year, plus added responsibilities as the public face of the brand. But Reigns reportedly has no interest in that workload.

Billi further suggested that if nothing changes, Reigns could pivot away from WWE altogether once his contract expires in 2026.

Creative frustrations may also be influencing Reigns stance. The original plan was for him to reclaim the spotlight by defeating The Rock in a generational storyline. That idea, involving a RockCodyRoman handoff sequence, appears to be scrapped. Instead, WWE has floated the possibility of Roman facing Cody Rhodes or Seth Rollins at WrestleMania something he reportedly doesnt view as legacy-defining.

With the Netflix deal around the corner and WrestleMania 42 less than two years away, WWE is facing a major challenge: either meet Romans demands for fewer dates at the same $25 million rate, or risk losing him to Hollywood.

Do you think WWE should give Roman Reigns the lighter schedule he wants, or is it time for the company to move on from the Head of the Table? Share your thoughts in the comments.
