Roman Reigns is already the highest-paid active star in WWE, but his next deal could see him double his rate per appearance.
According to Billi Bhatti on Dirty Sheets Wrestling Informer Podcast, Reigns has made it clear what he wants once his current contract ends after WrestleMania 42 in 2026. Reigns is asking for the same $25 million payout as his current deal but for only 100 appearances instead of 200. That would cut his schedule in half and effectively raise his fee from $125,000 per appearance to $250,000.
Bhatti pointed out that this isnt technically a raise in total dollars, but a restructure that would see Roman cash in more for doing less.
WWE, meanwhile, wants something very different. With its new Netflix deal starting in 2025, the company hopes Reigns will take the title again and act as the face of the new era with 40 appearances per year, plus media tours, autograph signings, and press conferences.
Reigns, however, isnt willing to budge. He reportedly doesnt want extra media or added obligations even as champion and unlike Brock Lesnar, he wont take performance-based bonuses for pay-per-views or Saudi Arabia shows.
Bhatti compared it directly to Brock Lesnars last contract, where Brock earned $100K for TV, $500K for premium live events, and $1M for Saudi Arabia shows. Roman, on the other hand, wants a flat $250K for every booking, regardless of the stage.
With WrestleMania 42 still more than a year away, the standoff between WWEs vision for Reigns and his own demands is already shaping up to be one of the most important contract negotiations in company history.
Do you think WWE should give Roman Reigns $25 million for half the work, or should the company push back and demand he take on a full champions schedule? Please share your thoughts and feedback in the comment section below.
