Keegan Bradley confirmed his six picks a few days ago, and the public was not overly surprised considering that most expected such a decision. There was little doubt as to whether Bradley would choose himself or not, but it is clear that he wanted to commit to the role of captain.
However, there were many names that were mentioned as potential candidates for the Ryder Cup team, among them Andrew Novak.
In an interview with the media, the famous golfer revealed how he felt after Bradley told him that he would not be part of the team.
Thirty-year-old Novak, although he felt a touch of frustration, was aware that he simply did not play well enough this season, believing that Keegan Bradley made the right decision.
Novak did not want to harbor negative emotions towards the captain and the team, stressing that Keegan wanted to have the strongest team at his disposal and choose players who will represent the US in a special way.

Its definitely disappointing to miss the team. I wanted to be in Bethpage. I think the fans are going to be unbelievable, Novak said, as quoted by The Golfing Gazette.
But I am also a team guy and right now Im not one of the best 12 players. I want to win and I want those guys and Keegan, to go and win more than I want to be a negative on a team if I dont feel like I am hitting the ball well enough right now. I am not driving the ball well enough right now.
I fully agree with what Keegan has done. I told him that on our call. I appreciate all the consideration this year, but I fully understand, I just havent been playing well enough."

Novak praises one of his colleagues
Andrew Novak also praised some of his teammates, especially Ben Griffin. Griffin secured a spot on the Bethpage Black team with his outstanding performances this year, and Novak had nothing but praise for the great golfer.
It is players like these that can be a serious motivation for Novak in the future and give him the opportunity to improve his image with great performances in the upcoming season.
