Coco Gauff enjoyed a really good day at the office today as the No. 3 seed clinched her most dominant win of this year's US Open after routing 28th-seeded Magdalena Frech 6-3 6-1 to reach the second week at Flushing Meadows.

The American tennis star took the opening three games right out of the gate, but allowed Frech to level the first set to three games apiece. However, the 2023 US Open winner star kept pressing the Pole and ended up sealing an easy win after collecting nine of the next 10 games.

During the match, Gauff registered 12 winners, created 11 break points and five of those chances. But what's really encouraging is the fact that the 21-year-old's serve looked steady today as she won 71 percent of her first serve points - had only four double faults - and allowed her rival only two break points during the match.

Gauff, who has been through to the US Open round-of-16 for the fourth consecutive year, now awaits the winner of the match between Naomi Osaka and Daria Kasatkina.

Gauff bounces back impressively after an overwhelming match versus Donna Vekic

Two days earlier, the home star got overwhelmed early on against Vekic and burst into tears on the court. However, she still got the job done with a 7-6 (5) 6-2 scoreline.

It feels human, I think. I think being an athlete, people kind of disregard that side of us: the human side of things. If I stopped and didnt pick up a racket tomorrow, I have a career that so many people would dream of. So, I think when Im out there in that moment, I give in to the pressures, but I feel like thats normal," the 21-year-old explained two days ago.

Today, Gauff looked much more convincing and sharp, and that can only be a good sign ahead of the second week in New York.
