There have been tons of rumors that MVP and Mike Bailey have backstage heat and now Bailey has finally laid these rumors to rest.

While speaking on 94WIP, Mike Bailey was asked about the rumors that he and MVP have backstage heat. He admitted that while there had been heated words exchanged, it was part of the business and not something to be taken as genuine personal hatred.

Bailey explained that people often read things online and assume wrestlers truly dislike each other, when in reality it is all about making the show better.

Bailey talked about how he and Kevin Knight spent months trying to win the Hurt Syndicates tag team titles, including at All In: Texas in front of 30,000 fans. That night, the Hurt Syndicate kept their titles by beating both his team and the team of Nick Wayne and Christian Cage.

Bailey said that whether there is real dislike or not, the important thing is putting on the best show possible for the fans. If the idea of hating each other helps tell the story, then they are willing to go with it.

So now its clear that there was never really any backstage issues between Mike Bailey and MVP, but it was a good way for them to play it up on television and build their feud. After all, controversy creates cash and fans definitely appreciate that.
