Nick Kyrgios seemingly enjoyed very much Daniil Medvedev's US Open meltdown as the Australian declared the Russian "the best" after a viral incident.

In case you missed it, the 2021 US Open winner was facing a match point in the third set of his first-round match against Benjamin Bonzi when a photographer stepped onto the court between the Frenchman's first and second serves. Due to a point interruption, chair umpire Greg Allensworth called for the point to be restarted and gave Bonzi another first serve. That's when the Russian tennis player lost it.

Are you a man? Why are you shaking? He wants to go home guys, he doesnt like to be here. He gets paid by the match, not by the hour," Medvedev shouted, all while encouraging the crowd to go full riot and causing a six-minute delay.

After revealing his frustration with the photographer, the 29-year-old repeatedly shaded umpire Allensworth by asking: What did Reilly Opelka say? Earlier this year, Opelka called Allensworth as "the worst in the industry" - so it was pretty clear what the Russian wanted to say with that one.

Kyrgios reacts to the Medvedev US Open chaos

"Medvedev is the best," the 2022 Wimbledon finalist wrote on X.

Kyrgios siding with the Russian shouldn't be surprising, considering that the Australian has had his fair share of similar situations with umpires. It is not a secret that ripping umpires and various other meltdowns that happened in such situations landed the Australian hefty fines numerous times.

Meanhwile, after losing to Bonzi, Medvedev admitted that he was "expecting a big fine."
