The public is impatient when it comes to Keegan Bradley and his six "picks" that will further strengthen the US Team at this year's Ryder Cup in Bethpage Black. It has been mentioned for weeks that Keegan Bradley could appear as a player-captain for the first time in this prestigious tournament, since 1963, when Arnold Palmer had a dual role.

The experienced golfer has had some flashy moments this year and it seems that if he wasn't the captain there would be no doubt that he would have secured a place in the team.

However, the question is whether Bradley is ready to deal with this kind of responsibility, i.e. with a double role.

Important faces in golf reacted to the potential decision on the dual role of Bradley.

Speaking to Golf Today, Kevin Kisner pointed out that Bradley would probably be a safe choice for the team if he wasn't the captain. However, it will be interesting to see what will be decided in the end.

That would be tough. There is so much that goes into it. The comparisons of Arnold Palmer in 1963 as our last playing captain and now is so drastically different in my opinion, he said, as quoted by The Golfing Gazette.

There are so many responsibilities. I think we still havent made all the decisions. We still have until Wednesday."

Conversations with Bradley

Kisner had the opportunity to speak with Bradley many times this season. He revealed that he sent a clear message to the US captain in the talks that Bradley would probably be the choice for the team if he wasn't the captain.

Kevin is not sure how easy it is to handle such a role, given that it can spoil the captain's focus.

On the other hand, he also emphasizes that Bradley is a person who knows how to handle responsibilities and pressures.

Therefore, it would not be a surprise if he really decides to take on such a challenge.

But I tell Keegan when we are discussing all the time that if he wasnt the captain I think he would be a pick 100% of the time. We bounce that back and forth all the time when we are going through this.

We still have quite a few calls to discuss and nail this down before Wednesday but I just find it very difficult to manage both sides of it. Your competitive side and your managerial side, its just so difficult."- he said.
