The pro wrestling world is still reeling from the brutal real-life attack on Syko Stu at a KnokX Pro eventand now Rob Van Dam is stepping into the fire with a statement thats raising eyebrows across the industry.
After it was revealed that Syko Stu, real name Stuart Smith, suffered broken facial bones and significant dental damage from the beatdown by Raja Jackson, Van Dam posted on Twitter in defense of Jackson. Without offering details, the WWE Hall of Famer made it clear he was siding with the attacker.

The statement didnt sit well with fansand the replies were a mix of confusion, disbelief, and flat-out anger. One user couldnt believe Van Dams take, especially considering the graphic nature of the beatdown, and responded:

This online backlash comes after video footage showed Raja Jacksonson of MMA star Rampage Jacksonstorming the ring and launching a real, unscripted assault on Syko Stu, who was later hospitalized. Additional backstage footage showed KnokX Pro figure AJ Mana instructing Raja to attack, saying it was time to give him his f**king receipt. LAPD is now involved, and WWE is internally reviewing the situation due to KnokX Pros past affiliations with the company.
While Syko Stu is now conscious and speaking as of August 24, his injuries include broken bones in his face and the loss of multiple teeth. Doug Malo, one of the wrestlers who intervened, revealed that the scene was horrific, describing how Smith was choking on his own blood and teeth in front of families and children.
Rob Van Dam may be waiting to tell his side on his podcast, but with Syko Stu still recovering from brutal injuries and the LAPD actively investigating, this is hardly the time for cryptic tweets. Whether hes trolling, misinformed, or genuinely defending Raja Jackson, Van Dams stance has thrown gasoline on an already raging fireand fans arent letting it slide.
