After being abruptly pulled from last weeks scheduled Womens World Championship defense against IYO SKY, rumors have swirled around her medical status and a possible pregnancy. Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer offered a brief update:
WWE pulled Naomi just hours before her advertised title match on the August 11 episode, citing she was not medically cleared. Fans were stunned as the heavily promoted match was scrapped, and IYO SKY faced Lyra Valkyria in a non-title bout instead.
Bodyslam.Nets Masked J added more fuel to the speculation, reporting that Naomi will address her medical status amid swirling pregnancy rumors during her RAW appearance. Natalya, a longtime friend of Naomis, also addressed the situation on Busted Open Radio with care and respect.
Naomi is a really close friend of mine but I just feel like its a time right now where she needs space, she said. I dont think its crazy in a bad waybut I think that obviously, its private. Its personal. I feel like she will talk about it when shes ready.
