Scottie Scheffler managed to celebrate at the BMW Championship with an excellent comeback in the last round. What is specific for this tournament is that the popular golfer was without regular caddy Ted Scott this time, and he was replaced by Michael Cromie, a temporary caddy hired by Scheffler for this competition.
Most expected that Scheffler might struggle as it is difficult to establish chemistry with a new caddy as it was with the previous one, however Cromie proved to be the right fit for Scheffler.
Some will say that when you are a quality golfer, the caddy does not play such an important role, but that is far from the truth.
Speaking to the media, Scheffler reflected on the role of the new caddy, stressing that Cromie did a great job.

There are many things that Scott is excited about when it comes to Cromie, and we'll see how long he'll be working with him given that Ted Scott's return is still a big unknown.
"Yeah, it was definitely different for sure. But Cromie was doing a great job. He's a guy I can trust. He's one of Ted's good buddies.
I'd just say it's pretty much as simple as that. Cromie is a guy that works hard. He does his prep work, and he was an easy guy for me to trust out there.
I felt like we did a good job of talking through our shots and staying patient and keep doing the right things even when things were looking a little bit squirrelly there on the back nine. We did a good job of staying focused and continuing to hit shots at the right targets. Closed the tournament out nicely.."- Scottie Scheffler said.

When will Scott be back?
