D-Von Dudley has finally cleared up the misunderstandings that people had about his relationship with Stephanie McMahon following his remarks a few years ago.

While speaking to Duke Loves Rasslin, D-Von Dudley was asked if he was trying to flirt when he once said Stephanie McMahon was a beautiful woman, which many people made a big deal about.

Dudley said the problem was the way he worded it. Instead of saying he admired her, he accidentally said he was infatuated with Stephanie McMahon. He explained that those two words mean very different things. He wasnt paying close attention when he spoke, and it came out wrong.

What he really meant was that he admired her for everything she had been through in the wrestling business. She grew up around wrestling and experienced the Andre and Hogan era, the Bret and Shawn era, the Rock and Austin era, and the Attitude Era. He was just trying to show respect for how smart and experienced she was.

However, Dudley said people twisted it into saying he had a crush on her, claiming that Triple H should watch out. D-Von said that made no sense, because Stephanie and Triple H are completely in love with each other, and no one was trying to interfere with that.

Dudley said some people, even wrestlers he worked with, tried to make something out of it. He made it clear publicly that they were wrong and could go f*** off because they knew the truth. He never meant it in that way, but the story still spread.

At the time, he was at home recovering from back surgery and was actually glad he didnt have to go into work, since he could imagine how much worse the talk would have been in meetings.

This all stems from D-Von Dudley stating that he was infatuated with Stephanie McMahon a few years ago and added that he would have loved to have dated McMahon.

For D-Von, it was simply a slip of the tongue that spiraled into an unnecessary controversy. His intention was always to praise Stephanie McMahon, and fans are glad that he finally cleared up this misunderstanding.

Did fans and wrestlers blow D-Von Dudleys words out of proportion, or should he have chosen his phrasing more carefully in the first place? Sound off in the comments.
